2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

Background Location Data Access

AutoMate explicitly collects real-time, precise location data to power the Live Location Sharing feature inside our individual chats and group chat workspaces. This is structurally vital to help commute partners coordinate meetups flawlessly and monitor transit safety.

When Data is Accessed: Background tracking requests permission to follow location coordinates steadily while traveling. Consequently, updates are processed even when the Application is minimized, completely closed, or running on a locked device screen.

Scope & Security Limits: Background processing only activates during user-initiated tracking windows (running for 1 hour, 24 hours, or until explicitly disabled via the 'Stop Sharing' controller). This data is securely managed, never retained beyond operational limits, and is strictly never transmitted to remote parties for target marketing or analytical advertising campaigns.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We use database encryption for your chat data and trip histories to protect your workspace records. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. 10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

13. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

You have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, or delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.

To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, you can initiate data extraction and closure via two workflows:

  1. In-App Deletion Interface: Navigate directly to the Help/Support or Profile settings component inside your mobile app workspace to instantly request account erasure.
  2. Direct Verification Request: Contact our development desk directly via email at swarajyadav.it.sit@gmail.com or swarajyadav0612@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please explicitly list the verified mobile phone registration number associated with your journey planning dashboard.

Upon submission of a valid data subject access request, we will permanently clear your user configuration records, messaging exchange paths, and structural routing trails across our active TiDB database cluster and Firebase Infrastructure within 7 business days.
